Explore the roles and responsibilities of agile architects, aligning architecture with business value while supporting SAFe^® program execution.

The SAFe^® for Architects training prepares system, solution and enterprise architects to engage across the organization as effective leaders and change agents who collaboratively deliver architectural solutions. During this three-day training, we will explore the roles, responsibilities and mindset of agile architects. We will discuss how to align architecture with business value and drive continuous flow to large systems of systems while supporting SAFe program execution.

Demonstrate collaboration with other enterprise roles
Promote a DevOps culture
Demonstrate flow of value through the continuous delivery pipeline

Target audience

This training is intended for senior technical contributors who need to understand the role of system, solution and enterprise architects in lean-agile enterprises. It is also appropriate for individuals desiring a deeper view into how architecture enables continuous value flow and how architects engage in and contribute to a lean-agile enterprise. This includes:

System, solution and enterprise architects
Architects in supporting technical disciplines
Experienced software developers
Technical managers making architectural decisions
Product leaders collaborating with architects

Examination

Participants will be registered at Scaled Agile Inc. and receive an entry link to the SAFe Architect exam and SAFe community platform with training registration. Participants must attend all training days to be eligible to take the exam.

This web-based exam consists of 45 multiple-choice questions, which participants must complete in 90 minutes. The exam is in English. Participants must take the exam within 30 days after completing the training and must answer 71% of the questions correctly to pass the exam. A retake of the exam is possible.

Upon successful completion of the SAFe Architect exam, participants will receive:

SAFe Architect (ARCH) certification, valid for one year
SAFe Architect digital badge
One-year access to SAFe Studio with participants’ first class attendance
Platform access to e-learning modules and curated members-only content to support your SAFe transformation
Member discussion forms to engage in ongoing conversations on the SAFe framework or how to better perform as part of an agile team
Curated content playlists based on participants’ interests and roles, including templated resources and facilitation guides to get started
Access to content, tools and resources participants need to practice SAFe every day

For online trainings, all materials are offered digitally. For in-person trainings, all materials are offered digitally and may be supplemented with hard copies.
